A Predictable Day Filled with Discovery
While every day brings new discoveries, we believe children thrive when their days follow a predictable rhythm. Consistent routines help children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn, while the flexibility of our Montessori approach allows each child to follow their own interests.
Throughout the day, children move naturally between purposeful work, outdoor exploration, creative play, rest, and meaningful relationships with friends and guides.

☀️Mornings Begin with Choice. A calm start that honors each child's pace.
Children are welcomed into the day by their guides and given time to settle in naturally. They store their belongings, reconnect with friends, and transition into the morning through outdoor play, practical life activities, or thoughtfully prepared invitations waiting for them.
This gentle beginning allows every child to feel comfortable, connected, and ready for the day ahead
Our uninterrupted morning work cycle is the heart of the Montessori day. Children choose from carefully prepared materials that support practical life, language, mathematics, science, art, and sensorial exploration. Guides observe each child closely, offering individual or small-group lessons when children are ready.
Because our classroom extends beyond four walls, many lessons continue outdoors using real materials, natural objects, and experiences found in the world around us.

Children spend much of their day exploring our outdoor classroom and surrounding natural spaces. They climb, build, observe wildlife, investigate plants and insects, create imaginative worlds, and develop confidence through meaningful experiences in nature.
Throughout the seasons, gardening, weather, wildlife, and environmental stewardship become natural parts of learning. Every changing season offers new opportunities for discovery, helping children build resilience, curiosity, and a lasting appreciation for the natural world.
✨Building friendships, independence, and community.
Throughout the day, children gather for songs, stories, movement, conversation, and shared meals. Lunch becomes an opportunity to practice independence by preparing their space, caring for their belongings, and cleaning up after themselves while enjoying time together as a community.
These shared moments help children develop respectful communication, gratitude, responsibility, and a genuine sense of belonging.
📖Time to recharge before new adventures begin.
After lunch, children have time to rest according to their individual needs. Younger children may nap, while older children enjoy quiet activities such as reading, drawing, nature journaling, puzzles, or peaceful Montessori work.
As the afternoon unfolds, children return to exploration through gardening, creative projects, music, movement, seasonal experiences, and continued outdoor learning. Guides introduce new opportunities while allowing children the freedom to continue following their own interests.
Before heading home, children help care for their learning environment and reconnect with their families. Guides share highlights from the day and celebrate each child's discoveries, accomplishments, and moments of growth.
Children leave with muddy boots, happy hearts, and stories they'll be excited to tell at home.

Bring your family to our two full acres of land to tour our space that was designed for learning, exploration, and curiosity. We invite you to explore our outdoor classrooms, meet our teachers, and discover a place where children are respected, curiosity is encouraged, and families feel genuinely welcomed.

Schedule Options
The Growing Montessori school schedule, including start and end dates, will largely follow the Woodland School District Calendar with slight variations. Families will receive the final schedule upon enrollment.
We currently offer two full-day care options as well as optional before care. This is to help families make time for education while balance their home and social activities.
We promise to hold space for your children to simply be children.
